most attractive and the most preferred tourist attractions that is located in

landscapes, obsessive people and top-class cuisine. Italy offers so much to see
and do that it would take a lifetime to explore. An overview of the best places
to visit in Italy.
1.
Colosseum
:
Travelers making their way through Italy, the
Colosseum is a must see. This huge Amphitheater is the largest of its kind ever
built by the Roman Empire and has remained a model for sports facilities right
up to modern times. Today the structure stands in isolated dissimilarity to the
modern development that surrounds it, and is a well-known reminder of ancient
times and the extensive history of Rome.
2.
Venice
Canals :
A gondola ride
through the canals of Venice is a institution that travelers have been
participating in for centuries. Venice is a city of islands and the canals have
long been, in many ways, the city’s streets. Lining the canals are the old
buildings which have remained relatively unchanged for hundreds of years,
adding to the romantic charm. The Grand Canal is the most famous of these
waterways and one of the most photographed sites in Venice.
3.
St
Peter’s Basilica and The Vatican Museums :
One of the most
recognisable buildings on the planet, St Peter’s Basilica is among the largest
churches in the world and has operated at the very centre of the Catholic faith
for centuries. Today it retains its religious role but, along with the Vatican
Museums, St Peter’s has also become one of the most popular tourist attractions
in Italy. Inside St Peter’s visitors can see the beautiful interiors, a wealth
of revitalization art and even view the tombs of some of history’s most significant
Popes. The museums contain artistic masterpieces from illustrious artists such
as Raphael and Leonardo Da Vinci, as well as Michelangelo’s world renowned
Sistine Chapel.
4.
Silicy
:
The largest island in
the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily is an autonomous region of Italy that also
includes several smaller isles. It is separated beginning the mainland region
of Calabria by the 5 km Straits of Messina. Home to every great Mediterranean
civilization, Sicily is rich in art and history; from Agrigento’s Valley of the
Temples to Palermo’s Baroque churches. The island’s most striking geological
feature is Mount Etna, Europe’s tallest active volcano.
5.
Lake
Como :
Lake Como is one of
Italy’s most scenic areas, surrounded by mountains and lined by small
picturesque towns. Traditionally a haunt of the wealthy, the lake has many old
opulent villas and palaces. Around the lake are resort communities and an 11th
century abbey. The mild climate is also a draw for tourists, with
characteristics similar to that of the Mediterranean.
6.
Florence
Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore :
Many churches and
cathedrals in Europe are mind numbingly beautiful. The Duomo or Cathedral of
Florence is no exception. The outer surface of the building is one of the most
breathtaking structures created by man. It has its charms, and yet in
comparison to the Duomo di Milano, Sagrada Familiar in Barcelona, or any number
of other churches .The plastic chairs instead of pews just didn’t seem
appropriate, nor did the sparse or non existent decorations or art on the
walls.
It was a attractive
interior, more lavish and ornate stemmed from being so awe struck by the
intricate, multicoloured marble masonry of the Duomo’s unique exterior. I found
out of place, was part of the highly structured artwork on the inside of the
massive dome. Here is where they obviously spent their time and effort, to
crate a masterpiece for the ages. Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari created a
spectacular work of art on the dome’s 3,600 metre² surface. The official name
of the church is Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore and there are three main
parts to it. The main church seen in the photo the Baptistery and Giotto’s Campanile or bell tower.
